Gerontocracy and US Politics
Today, news broke that there’s concern that Senator Diane Feinstein is mentally unwell, which has spurred quite a bit of discussion about whether the United States is a “gerontocracy.”
Several years ago, myself and the University of Virginia’s David Walsh wrote an article for The Guardian on the subject that I thought may be of interest to our listeners.
