I adore the episodes that discuss how historians think and reason since in today's world it is such a painful way to live - especially when the analysis is proved right usually due to some tragedy where a victory lap would be most inappropriate, leaving the same crew playing with the models so they can screw up something else.

No wonder there is so much effort put into destroying the profession...

The title of this episode is highly misleading. A better title would have been: "The Struggles of Junior History Professors in the Modern Era". This was boring, I learned nothing and wish you would always ask: "Is this topic going to help educate or even engage my subscribers". If the answer is "no" or "very few of them", then pick a new topic. Wertheim is a great guest and I looked forward to hearing his views - on something relevant.
